"We had seen not very good reviews about the hotel but were pleasantly surprised. We had 5 rooms booked family and standard, all clean. Hotel is very nice, easy to get to, good gym sauna pool facilities. Hotel is a bit worn but clean and like any other hotel. Breakfast was good. We stayed as there was a wedding function at the Hotel so can be noisy at night, but wasn't too bad. Hotel staff were very nice and helpfull. "This pub is located in the very centre of the town an thus walking distance from most attractions and restaurants. The place is clean though rather basic with few amenities. No breakfast is on offer. Our problem was that the bedrooms appear to have been built into this historic building with little or no sound proofing. The noise from the bar below sounds in the bedroom as if was coming out of the wardrobe! The music played seemed to be a challenge to the drinkers to shout over it. We could get...

"The room was clean tidy and the bed was very comfy. The shower was not very powerful. Soap was provided, but no moisturiser.. I had a drink at the bar which had no ice as the machine was broken. I used the swimming pool but looked fairly cloudy and the locker room didn’t have locks unless you bought your own. Clean towels Were provided. Overall this is a nice hotel but maintenance needs improving."

"Lovely place However, AC was not working and needed to be on when we arrived. Far to hot. When we tiried to turn on, it was broken. A fan was provided, which helped, . But as warmth is insured on arrival during colder days, AC needs the same consideration in the hotter temperatures"

"Really good Hotel in the centre of Shrewsbury. From a welcome Sherry on arrival to a fantastic breakfast on leaving, we had a great stay. The room was spacious and clean, barring a rather large cobweb in one of corners. Everything we needed was there."

"Great value for money. Stayed for 2 nights passing through from Scotland to Cardiff. Only a few minutes walk to the town centre. Has free parking although this is limited to 7 spaces. We ate in the restaurant and found the food to be really tasty. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Great shower pressure. Sun deck and beer garden was great as we had good weather to enjoy them. Took our drinks out there in the evenings. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Would definitely...

"The room was clean and spacious. Has the usual complimentary hot drinks, hairdryer and also an iron and ironingboard. A choice of scrambled eggs, beans, bacon along witk a good range for a continental breakfast, served early from 6am both Saturday and Sunday, useful as I had to be a the event from 7.30am. Helpful, pleasant staff. Enjoyed my stay. Also this hotel was walking distance (5 mins) from the Telford indoor shopping centre where there was a large range of shops and places to eat."

"I booked a normal standard room, but I was given an accessible room instead. Unfortunately, the room was extremely dirty, especially the bathroom. There was a significant amount of mould, the toilet looked like it had not been properly cleaned, and there were stains everywhere. I went to the staff to complain about the condition of the room, but I was told that I would have to pay extra to change rooms. I do not think this is reasonable, as the accessible room was not the room I originally...
