"Recently refurbished in an attractive rural style the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. No air conditioning but a remote controlled Dyson fan was provided. The staff without exception were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine but could have done with some fresh fruit on the buffet table. "Stayed here over the bank holiday as a family of 4. The hotel itself is nice and the outside space is green and relaxing. However, we were given a very hot top-floor room during 28°C weather, with no air conditioning and windows that barely opened. The fan provided did not help and none of us could sleep. This room really should not have been given to a family in such hot weather in the first place. At 2am we had to ask for another room, which meant moving tired children in the middle of the...

"Very well positioned for Goodwood House and the Motor Circuit. The Guest House was very clean and our bed was very comfortable, we slept like logs! Our host was great and cooked us breakfast. Will stay again."

"Room was clean and tidy, bathroom was spacious (in previous occasions I've been assigned smaller bathrooms in which it was difficult to get in/out of the bath). Very quiet room even though it's next to the main road. I'd like it more if they provided the usual hotel amenities in the room (e.g. a bath cap). Breakfast is quite nice, a continental and full English buffet. Overall, I like the place."

"Breakfast time was not very organised, perhaps this was because there was only one member of staff visible. The buffet was very poor. As guests we had to ask for hot food. There were no croissants or bread (which arrived frozen) and very little fresh fruit. Not what we expected for a 4 star hotel."
