"The house was great and in perfect condition. Great location as it is 3 min from the Inari shrine and close to the train station which is always helpful. Nothing to complain about except 1 thing: there was no pool table as shown on the photos and we were not told about it. The guy who gave us the keys told us it is being fixed, which is fine but we would have prefered to know beforehand as we were very excited about it. "

"Incredibly convenient with the hotel being a short 7 minute walk from kyoto station allowed me to shop and easily return to hotel and head out again. Bus stop to Kiyomizu was also close by. Staff were always super friendly and helpful, and they also speak good English. Would definitely consider staying here next time. "

"We had great stay here while in Kyoto. Easy access to the train station and friendly staff as well. The breakfast is a must while staying here. It's got good variety and a salad bar for all your daily fiber intake. There's always a line forming outside the restaurant in the morning, but once it's moving, just a few minutes of wait. "The room was big, clean, the beds were comfortable and they had amazing pillows! There’s a Laundry room with 4 washer and dryers, which truly helped us! The hotel is close to Kyoto station. I loved that there’s a compartment with one bed, and then 3 twins together. If you arrive before check in, you can leave your luggage by the front desk and it’s completely safe. Overall, a great hotel and I highly recommend it. "

"Fantastic hotel and a great way to experience Japanese living. Not quite what I would call a full ryokan, our room fortunately had it's own bathroom and tub, while still having the tatami matt floor and futons. The tub was a deep soaker and set up to provide a private onsen experience. We really enjoyed our stay"

Room service was excellent, the rooms are a little small but it seems to be the case in Japan :) we both loved the thoughtfulness and care for all the amenities and little touches in the room and the staff were wonderful and really helpful.
