"Convenient and affordable Hotel"

"The site advertises that they took pets, but they neglected to say that the only pets they take are dogs unless you look real deeply into the website. After we booked the hotel assuming they had allowed cats we tried to cancel our reservation, but they refused to let us do that and made us pay for the four days that we had booked regardless. There was no reason that they couldn’t refund our money. I understand that they said it was a non-refundable price but I think they could have made an...

"Dear Expedia Customer Service Team, I am writing to complain about my recent one-night stay at Holiday Inn Cambridge, which was disappointing due to several issues. We checked in at approximately 2:30 pm, but after settling into our room, we were told late at night that we needed to change rooms. Additionally, there was no hot water, and early the following morning, lawn mowing outside disturbed us while we were still asleep. These issues meant we were unable to rest properly or enjoy our...

"Alles bestens"

"Great place. Beautiful breakfast. We had a fair bit of luggage so a lift would have been handy."

"Location was ideal for us and pricing within reason. We just spent one night before going on to Ely for a wedding."

"Lovely hotel, great location but the stand out was the staff, every person of staff that I spoke to was very friendly, a lot of the staff were young which in the U.K. could be a red flag however, maybe it’s the Cambridge air but they were all great."

"My wife, who is an artist, loves the decor of this hotel. I found the staff really helpful. We had an odd problem with our room due to the kettle causing an electrical short. The staff were excellent in sorting out the problem and gave us an upgrade. The breakfast is very good and well laid out with options for a personalised service. The beds are very comfortable, we have stayed there before so can compare the rooms. The location is excellent, just near the railway station. We plan to stay...

"We arrived early before the check in time but were made to feel welcome, parking was difficult to find but once we were told where to go all was OK and there was ample parking. The room was comfortable and there was everything that you could possible need, even slippers and a dressing gown! Breakfast was well cooked and ample and the hosts were very friendly, We liked having the toaster on the table, never seen this before and we have stayed in lots of places over the years. We would highly...

"Very nice room with massive fan supplied to help with the current heat wave. Loved the Nespresso coffee machine and fridge in the room with a small selection of snacks and drinks. Pub itself is very nice which a fantastic cafe literally across the road. Will definitely be back!"

"Stayed for two nights whilst visiting Cambridge. Great hotel. Clean and has everything you could want. Had dinner in the restaurant both nights. Food was amazing. Big shout out to Elia Tous, the restaurant manager. So so helpful and gave great recommendations."

"Rooms are a bit tired with the bathroom needing a refresh. Noisy, even though we were far from the front of the building . This was our second stay as it is very convenient for the centre of town, but both times we’ve now had noisy nights. Continental breakfast is limited for the price. Parking is very useful but expensive if you don’t book directly but 3rd party sites offer cheaper prices."

"We love this hotel, it’s really world class. Beautifully decorated, amazing staff, we are always so well looked after. The location is fantastic and our room had a lovely view over Parker’s Piece."

"Lovely pub with rooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was cosy and quiet. We had breakfast and dinner, both of which were excellent. Parking was no problem and the pub provided a good base for exploring Cambridge and the Fens."
