"Lovely new apartments. Quiet and a good view. Beds were comfy and bathrooms lovely and the kitchen well equipped. The need for key fobs to go thru every door was somewhat tiresome and a bit surreal. The concierge who carry out the check in for these apartments were helpful. I was somewhat disappointed as there was no hairdryer in the apartment. After a long hold on the phone I was told the housekeeper would bring one Saturday morning (we were going to a wedding) but it never materialised....

"Terrible stay. Dirty rooms, Breakfast is non-existent and all continental only. A lot of maintenance workers stay here, so you can imagine the standard. Depressing side of the road lodge. It is not a hotel really, more like a youth hostel!"

"It was an ok stay. Very basic and a bit tired looking but clean enough if you don’t inspect the stained mattress and marks on the walls. Plus points helpful staff and free parking and next to a service station with an express M&S, Macdonalds, Greggs etc. plenty of electric charging on site."

"Beautiful bedroom very large and spacious, as was the en-suite shower room. The bed and bedding were excellent and I had a wonderful nights sleep. The water in the shower was hot and a good pressure. However the flush for the toilet was not working. I would also recommend the owners supply bedside lights as there were none and the main light switch was over by the door. A kettle and teabags/coffee were provided in the room but no milk or water. "We needed a night, close by as attending a family wedding and the cricketers was in the perfect location. The pub is fab and foods excellent, accommodation was as expected."

"not a good sleep the first night due to a machine in the courtyard for freezing purposes. apparently the normal freezer had broken. however after we complained we were moved to another room which was a lot better in fact an upgrade on our previous room hopefully the university of cambridge will rectify this in the not to distant future. the staff were excellent"

"Great place to stay if you’re off to the races, 15mins by car or Taxi. The pub does not provide a breakfast but their evening meals are good, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are at the back of the pub and have ensuite bathrooms, tea, coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The linen and towels were all fresh and the bed very comfortable. "

"Visited this hotel 5-6 times. I like the quiet room and comfortable beds. Only the last experience was bad...bed sheet and pillow cases not changed, smells stinky and feel itchy, not sure it's dirt or bed bugs."

"The pub is friendly with good food and staff. The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. "

"The front of house staff were super friendly and helpful. The cafe and restaurant looked clean and modern, we didn't eat there though as there limited uninspiring vegan options. No milk alternative options in the room on the tea tray. Noone wants to be going back to reception to ask for oatmilk at 10pm. A stain on the carpet was very off-putting as it was next to the chair and very obvious. However the room and lovely bathroom, was very clean."

"The lock on our assigned room malfunctioned so we were moved to an adjacent room. That room was adequate, though the bathroom was very small and thus awkward to use. Standard pub fare was provided for lunch and dinner - nothing to get excited about. Breakfast, however, was excellent and served in a room functioning as a coffee shop for nearby railway customers (their coffee is good).
