"This hotel is the only in Monterey area situated right on the endless sand beach. The hotel has everything to enjoy a luxury stay: pool, jacuzzi, sauna and cold plunge, great lounge with fireplace and panoramic windows to the bay, complementary wine, very friendly staff. Our most favorite place to stay."

"The rooms could use some refresh of furniture style as well as the bathrooms but otherwise, very comfy and fine for casual overnights. "

"Cleanliness is their claim to fame. Someone’s constantly cleaning or maintaining something. Staff is warm, helpful, and attentive. This hotel is central to everything. We stayed 6 nights and walked to breakfast and dinner at a different restaurant each day within 3 or 4 short blocks. Didn’t need a car to dine, shop, or enjoy the beach. Although it’s hilly to walk from the beach, it’s easier than trying to park a car. Breakfast at the hotel is meager, however the pool is excellent, heated from April-November temperature in the 80’s. Would gladly stay here again. "
