Deja Resort All Inclusive

"I wanted to write a fair and honest review of Deja All Inclusive Resort. I understand that Montego Bay is still recovering from the hurricane last year, so I do want to give grace. At the same time, I think it is important for future guests to have realistic expectations. Overall, many of the staff members were friendly, warm, and welcoming. The Waterfalls Restaurant was a highlight of our stay. The food was great, and the staff there were always kind and attentive. However, there were a few disappointing interactions. The young lady who handled tour information was not friendly during any of our encounters and often acted as though we were disturbing her. I tried to give grace, but it was consistent. The checkout experience was also disappointing. The young lady who checked us out did not ask if we needed transportation, so we asked the gentleman at the transportation booth. This seemed to upset her, and she went back and forth with the driver in a way that felt rude and unprofessional. As far as the resort itself, I would not describe Deja as luxury. If you want close beach access, included food and drinks, and overall friendly staff, it may be worth considering. The common areas seemed better maintained than the rooms. I requested a room change due to the bathroom conditions but the second room was not much better. I also felt the website photos may be outdated. I do appreciate the positives, but Deja did not meet my expectations."

"Wonderful staff - too many times to mention individually! The bar, restaurant and entertainment staff very helpful, accommodating and gave service with a smile. The dedicated guest relations team for Expedia customers was excellent with booking à la carte restaurants, arranging special requests, ensuring we got a ground floor room, and resolving one small issue. Bar in Miss Lou's coffee shop is hidden gem. Chef Jason in Sumptuori was amazing on the hibachi table and also made us a delicious off the menu sushi platter on our second time at Sumptuori. The landscaping staff will do their best to get you fresh coconut. The property is on a huge site with something to do for every age group. Yes the hotel suffered some damage from the hurricane and repairs are being undertaken but that didn't interfere or spoil our holiday."

"First and foremost the resort was beautiful, but the experience was tainted by the lack of hospitality and friendliness of the staff. Also the food at the buffet was not good at all, besides the jerk chicken and salad that is served @ “the reef”. The drinks also were lack luster. The resort could use a lot of work regarding those things mentioned. Especially the lack of poolside service as well. There were hardly any staff that came over to ask if we needed anything. Also be aware that there is a 15 dollar service fee every time you order room service. For me personally i’m not use to the poor hospitality."

CHECKING IN ON MAY 27 …..HAD TO REPEATILY ASK BOUT ROOM WHICH WAS CHANGE TO ACCOMMODATE MY WAIT TIME……OTHER THAN THAT ITS A NICE HOTEL….POOL CLOSES A LIL REALY ..6PM….WHY…REALLY DONT CARE 4 2 TWIN BEDS PULL TOGETHER.REATHER A KING BED……"

"This property is for those looking for a peaceful stay. Very small all inclusive resort with limited entertainment, but interesting amenities like a martini bar, coffee bar. The entire property is covered in beautifully maintained tropical foliage as you navigate to and from your room. The staff are very friendly and attentive and keep you smiling. You feel very welcome. The beach is stunning with only a short walk across the main road supported by guards. Water is warm, clear and shallow, and sand is white and very fine. Loungers are in abundance with some grass huts and large trees to provide shade. Large beachside bar and eating area with a limited menu of jerk chicken, nachos, hamburgers and hot dogs with fries,salad and onion rings. Servers are available for drinks and food at your lounger. Rooms are very much like elevated cabins, a little small by all inclusive standards but perfectly fine for couples.Nightime nature sounds were nice. Food is good, not great. As expected, smaller scale than bigger all inclusive but hot and fresh and always found something good to eat. Overall a very nice peaceful place to sit back and relax. A unique vacation spot."

"Oh, the Azul! This resort is an absolute stunner, a true tropical paradise that offered us so many moments of pure joy. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the front desk staff made us feel incredibly welcome, their warm greetings and accommodating nature setting a fantastic tone for our stay. Our room? Immaculate! And the view from our balcony was simply breathtaking, a postcard-perfect panorama of the island's natural beauty. The vibrant energy of the bar staff near the entrance was infectious – always ready with a smile and a friendly chat. However, a slight dip in the otherwise stellar service occurred with the bar staff by the restaurant where breakfast was served. It felt a bit disheartening when they'd engross themselves in their own conversations, leaving us waiting a little longer than expected. On a brighter note, the security team patrolling the beach were absolute legends, super cool and always ensuring our peace of mind. And the breakfast servers? Genuinely friendly and attentive, adding a lovely start to our mornings. We were also promised a meeting with a resort representative to discuss our stay and receive a $100 credit, a perk we were looking forward to. Unfortunately, this meeting never materialized, and to our surprise, there was no follow-up or apology offered.
