The room had been renovated, so it looked very nice! The mattress was very firm. The rest of the hotel (lobby area and outside) needs to be renovated. It is ok for a quick one night stay.

Red Roof Inn Hartselle
The other reviews I read here were overly harsh. This is definitely a mom and pop - type hotel, and it's run that way. You'll see all the shortcuts they took, but its inexpensive and convienient to Hartselle, and the staff was friendly and accessible.

Tv didn’t work and toilet was stopped up.
