"We had travelled about 190 miles for a wedding, arriving about 12:30 and looking for suitable facilities to change in, only to be offered the use of the disabled toilet. Far from ideal, but we managed. The room like the hotel looked dated, with only 1 packet of biscuits for the 2 of us, only bathroom amenities was a small round of hand soap, a pump dispenser of soap and shampoo over the bath, and the shower wasn't up to much either. The location and views were really nice. "

"I was pleasantly surprised when i arrived at this hotel. Iit overlooked the river Avon, and we could see a little waterfall from our window. The mill wheels was working just outside the dining room window. It would be lovely in the summer. The only downside was the choice for breakfast. However you get what you pay for and as a really cheap hotel it exceeded expectations and when next i go to Bath i will stay there. As a bonus it also has a toll road running into Bath which cost £1.20p cash...

"A very good place to stay. Reasonable rates and a lovely clean room represents great value. I would have given 5 stars except that we had to ask for replacement teas, coffee and milks each day. The food in the pub was good and it was very close, which was important because it was raining. There was ample parking too."

"They put me into the top of the building up 4 flights of stairs in a room with no radiator BUT a fan from Argos approx 10 in tall was the only form of Heat =ABSOLUTE PATHETIC !"

"Stains on seats, old and tired, had to wait 20 mins for the room to be finished but unlike the other couple also waiting we were not offered complementary breakfast forbthe delay, for the price we paid it was seriously underwhelming for £135 "

"There was a hole in the wall by bed and the light shade on the wall keep falling off.bed was very hard and the pillow was very hard . But everything else was great."

"Great Location, Very clean and well maintained. Staff was great. We enjoyed a complimentary wine and cheese buffet, which was very nice. The rooms are purposefully very small but extremely well thought out and well appointed. "

"All felt very dated. Walls and floors all paper thin, could hear everything from folks waking at 6am, with the addition of construction work right outside the window at 7:30am. Rooms, whilst clean, were basic and tired, and far too warm with no ability to adjust temperature. Pay and display parking (with no guest discount) is a bit odd too. Not sure what grants this a 4*, but it certainly isn’t. Get what you pay for. "

"Comfortable Hotel in a good location for doing stuff in and around Bristol, good facilities and very friendly/helpful staff. However, one bedside lamp was not working as the bulb had failed (reported but it was the weekend so no maintenance staff around), some of the tables in the restaurant were sticky and the fire alarm went off briefly one night at 03.30. I appreciate false alarms happen but the was no acknowledgement of the issue at checkout the next morning, even though nobody could have...

"It's within 10 minute walking distance to centre of town. There is an ok but overpriced Indian restaurant, but setting for food. Big Sainsbury's nearby. Property is standard HI Express, clean, ok breakfast. Only real criticism is having stayed at HI Express a lot over the past 5 months in different places for work, would be good if they could vary the breakfast a bit."
