"This hotel is in a great location with easy access to Shinjuku Station and getting around Tokyo. It was fun to see all of the Godzilla themed decor. The beds are very firm and pillows are a little funky."

"This hotel is in a great location, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby and train stations not far. I booked this hotel as I have a very tall husband and we needed a king size bed. The room is quite big for Japan standards but the bathroom is quite small. The bathroom has the basic amenities like soap, shampoo/conditioner and even facial cleanser products. They do have an amenities bar at the reception so you can grab other amenities you need. The room had no view but big sized windows and the tv only has Japanese channels with no english channels. So at times it was quite entertaining trying to figure out what was going on. Overall it’s not a bad place to stay when you want a decent sized room."

"The New Otani let itself down badly at breakfast. A “continental breakfast” consisted of an orange juice, coffee and two small, tasteless croissants and cost 4000 yen. In other hotels, a continental breakfast means all of the buffet except hot food. I complained to the garden lounge manager, who basically said “Sorry, that’s what we charge” then to the hotel duty manager who offered an apology, but did nothing concrete. The New Otani is otherwise a great hotel, but unless you are on a breakfast-included package, eat somewhere else."
