"The room was bigger than expected, with a coffemaker. It was nice to have high ceiling in the room. The location was very convenient, close to a JR train station and close to a supermarket. Also close to a public bath (sento). It was quiet at night, we had a good sleep. Very friendly staff. Also liked the bread and jams in the morning. Would stay there again!"

The accommodation was very clean and had all the basics you need. It is Japanese style accommodation with futon which suited us well but people not used to this need to check the details. "The minute we walked in into Fujiya Ryokan we immediately felt welcomed and relaxation commenced. Our host greeted us with a warm smile and some hot green tea. She even gave our 3 year old a little present on arrival too. This was the first time we have stayed in a Ryokan and to be honest, we were a little apprehensive regarding the sleeping arrangements but found the beds to be ultra comfortable! "Our experience here at Coto Toji was amazing, from the beginning a driver was waiting us at Kyoto station and he was the one that did the check in at the property. His name is Kibune, an old short funny Japanese guy who made pleasant our first hour in Kyoto. Everything was awesome regarding this property, we enjoyed our futons and the “crazy” equipped bathroom . It is very close to Toji station subway and the bus # 207, which is the most convenient one, it takes you to the most important sites...
