"Staff friendly and responsive to requests. Rooms in Japan are small but four bags aligning wall worked. Used entrance space to get into luggage. Toilet and tub in own space. Beds comfortable. Free water & coffee. Pajama gown & slippers helpful. Clean location."

"Breakfasts are great. The elevators are fast. The bathroom areas are fine. AC is quiet. However, there is no good place to set your laptop and there are not enough electrical outlets. With minimal redesign, my room could have much more functional. Just replace the little loveseat next to the bed with a real desk and chair."

"Ace hotel Kyoto is super cool! The staff went above and beyond to extend our stay due to passing typhoons and the hotel is stylish, rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Great coffee downstairs and some lovely boutique shopping right outside the hotel. Close to trains and not in the crazy touristy area of Kyoto. Our family enjoyed our short stay. Highly recommend if you want to stay in downtown Kyoto."
