"excellent hotel and great staff"

"The room and hotel was not what was advertised. Pros - - spacious room - plenty free parking spot - tea & coffee options in the room - comfortable clean bed - loads of storage - iron and ironing board - huge bed - loads of storage area Cons - The room was failing and in desperate need of renovation or even a lick of fresh paint. I dared not touch the kettle as it was covered with limescale. The carpet needs replacing, windows needs fixing. Door is so loud when closed. Overall feel, it is good walking distance to town, pubs ,morrisson etc. Tesco express is just beside the hotel so a bonus. So a Yes to the location but definitely not how it was advertised . "

"Was basic but clean. Busy in public areas. Room service was slow and food cold when it arrived. Room are not well soundproof I could hear the man in the room next door talking on his phone! "

"Was informed on check-in that food in the restaurant was being served until 21.30, came down at 20.30 to be informed that the kitchen was closed and but luckily there was a 24hr menu available, so ordered off that, starter I found to be very poor as it was pate which was probably the smallest piece of pate i have ever seen and would only just cover the toast provided, the rest of the plate was just filled with lettuce to make it look a lot. The lady who eventually served was helpful in find the night time menu and took my order and opened up a tab on my room, but when I went up to the bar again to order another drink was then informed that I should have pre-authorised a credit card to be able to order food on the room, again was not informed this upon check in or when ordered the food initially. Whilst eating my food also the staff was moving furniture around and setting up the hoover for cleaning which was very off putting tbh. I also found the bed to be to soft and did not sleep very well. The Hot water pressure was also very low and therefore the shower was more of a trickle than a shower."

"We were late for breakfast but there was still a full choice of tasty wholesome food available . Bed very comfortable . Room clean and tidy. Staff were smiley and helpful where necessary. Great location for motorway links etc yet no traffic noise . The only negative experience we had was the car park arrangements charging £5 per night and feeling worried about being fined for overstay / incorrect parking etc. We will look elsewhere on our next visit to Chatham . "
