"Great hotel! Great price! Great service!"

"Room ok, but peeling paper above window and broken window catches and broken lamp shade by bed (window side). Bathroom needed a plug for the sink, mould on ceiling above the bath/shower and mastic should have been removed from the tiles (near sink and over bath) where soap dispensers had been removed. No brandy at the bar. Chips supplied with meal were luke warm (nobody came to ask if things were OK). Had to ask for full breakfast to be reheated. Stayed here before, so rather disappointed this...

"The room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable and we slept reasonably well. Could have done with better sound proofing as we could hear next door snoring all night and talking otherwise no problems "

"We had to walk up 42 steps to get to our room carrying our baggage. The place is adequate but dated and the hot water difficult to adjust safely. A window in our room was ajar and there was rot and mold around the frame which caused us to leave it that way. There is no one attending the front desk as the person who checked us in did double duty in the restaurant. The food was fine. "

"The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The building is beautiful and attractive. I last stayed there in 1976 and it has changed a lot. The rooms are now all en-suite, which wasn't the case 49 years ago. The room in which I stayed was fantastically quiet and the bathroom was beautiful! There was a bath with a shower over and both were fabulous. I also loved the scent in the hair and body wash that was provided.
