Booking family rooms up 2 and a half flights of narrow stairs, windows in both rooms were faulty doesnt shut or a shash window with no lock or safety guard on a 2nd floor. Advertised lift which doesnt go to all floor, no bistro for food, bar very limited, parking extremely tight and very limited for the size of the hotel. "

"The Room was clean and tidy but the whole property is looking tired and in desperate need of being modernised.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was OK.
There was a bar but the beer taps had a black bin bag thrown over them which did not look good.
Walls to the rooms were thin so you could hear those in the adjoining rooms.
Adequate parking if you are used to slopes!"

"It is an older property with its own charm. Location is close to shipping, restaurants, buys stops, train station, so very convenient. We asked for a quiet room and were given one on the top floor, end of the hall, so it was very quiet. Steps are narrow and steep, no elevator. Lots of exercise! Hotel staff was fabulous. St Fagans national museum of history and Caerphilly Castle are both worth visiting!"
