"Room was nice and clean with comfortable bed. My only issue was that it was a bit too warm and difficult to open the window. However it was a good stay and really convenient location. "

"Parking was good. On arrival my booking had changed, the staff were more than welcoming and accommodating of my needs and could not have been more helpful. Bed comfortable. Dogs allowed which was a bonus to me. Shower in room but only had a curtain as access and no toilet in room. Room had been changed to accommodate other needs so no complaints. Lovely food in the pub."

"Staff all nice. Room worn but clean and tidy so a reasonable stay. Hopefully the following is helpful feedback; Fridge not working (a 2nd one added to the room wasn't working either). Kettle lid broken and kept falling off when filling with water. The in-shower shelf was missing therefore shower gel on the floor. Not a worry to me but maybe to less mobile people. Rooms are not very sound proofed so corridor noise is a problem without very good earplugs. Bed comfy. The bar and lobby are fine and the car park is great so near to town and the quays. As this is one of the less expensive hotels, on balance it is ok and would stay again but would keep an eye on the price."

"My single room at The Telstar was so small that I couldn't even open up my umbrella to dry it out. I spent much of my time in the room with my teeth chattering because the small radiator simply didn't generate enough heat to warm the bedroom and the postage-stamp-sized bathroom. When I checked in, I specifically asked if housekeeping was provided every day and I was assured that it was. Upon returning the first day around 4:30 p.m.,however, the bed was still unmade and the towels hadn't been replaced. I reported it to the woman at the front desk and she brought up clean towels and cleaned the bathroom sink herself. Housekeeping did show up the next day, but left me without a bath mat. Because I was cold and wet from being out all day, I decided to take a hot shower. But even after running the water for about 15 minutes, it was still only luke warm, although the water first thing in the morning was nice and hot. Probably the only thing I can say in The Telstar's favor is that the full English breakfast served every morning was excellent and the servers were pleasant and efficient."

"Spacious room. Ensuite was very clean. Great that there is a kitchen & communal lounge area. Lovely continental breakfast. Off-road parking is a bonus. Low-key and easy access."
