"Nice staff but the hotel and rooms are very run down and in desperate need of refurbishment. Stains in carpet. No air con. Rooms extremely hot and stuffy. Lift was also broken during our stay so had to walk up 4 flights of stairs in a heatwave. Would avoid in future unfortunately."

"Room was very good, clean but in slight need of some decorating, good storage but only there one night. Friendly staff. Left at 3.00 am to catch a flight & was let down by the promise of an early breakfast of croissants & muffins, upon entering the breakfast area there was nothing available. Was told by receptionist that he knew nothing of this arrangement but we could get a coffee or tea."

"We stayed for one night and unfortunately were quite disappointed with our experience. The air conditioning in our room was not working, which made it extremely hot and uncomfortable, especially as there were no windows that could be opened for ventilation. The bar staff were also very unhelpful. They seemed reluctant to serve customers and repeatedly told us they had run out of ingredients for mocktails. The overall service felt poor and unwelcoming. To top it off, I ordered a cappuccino, and it was honestly one of the worst coffees I have ever had. Overall, this was not the standard I would expect from a Marriott hotel."

"Brilliant hotel We couldn’t work the air con in the bathroom and the service was a little slow in the restaurant but otherwise faultless Lovely, friendly and accommodating staff and room was beautiful and beds very comfortable. Food was excellent as well."

"The room was very spacious and clean. No fridge, fan or usb points. Lovely big balcony. Staff on reception desk were helpful. Drinks at the bar were expensive. Breakfast was ok, but the hot food was burnt and dried out by the time we got down there at 9.15 am, so we went down earlier the following day. A walk down the hill to restaurants, bars and the harbour."
