"You have to pay for valet parking or paid parking off-site. Hidden fees. I don't think I will stay here again. $325 room and end up paying about $500 total. The pool was nice. The fire pit was cozy. The bar has a beautiful view and a nice atmosphere. The "oceanview" room was clean, but it was located directly over the AC units, and they were very loud. You can't hear the ocean at all. The staff was the best part of the hotel. I didn't like the hidden fees. Will not be returning."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property needs to be fixed a little. The pics of the room,don't match what's inside the rooms. Breakfast area is pretty good sized. Beach access and pool area was amazing. I emailed pics of stains on bedding. Saw them immediately when I first walked into the room. Some towels were dirty that were hanging up. The phone in the room did not work. There was a few roaches, crawling around the room. I did alert staff to these issues. Still have not heard back. I used the email they gave me to send pics, but email is not valid. The price of this room for 1 night not worth it. I booked an ocean view room and they told me I could see the ocean over the roof of next door building. The pic of the view on the website, depicted a different view not what I got."

"Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was not the best. The breakfast was very disappointing and honestly one of the worst parts of the stay. I truly would not recommend the hotel breakfast (The Abalone). Additionally, the front desk staff was not very friendly or understanding when I asked for a late check-out of just 20 minutes. They did not seem very welcoming in the morning. On the positive side, the housekeeping staff was wonderful — very kind, generous, and professional throughout the stay. They were definitely the highlight of the experience. Additionally, the beach view was beautiful, and the bar staff was exceptional."

El trato del personal fue poco hospitalario y constantemente nos llamaban la atención por situaciones innecesarias, lo que hizo la estadía incómoda en todo momento. Uno de los puntos más negativos fue el servicio en el bar, donde prácticamente no recibimos la atención adecuada y siempre encontrábamos una actitud negativa por parte del personal. En ningún momento hubo disposición para solucionar situaciones o brindar una experiencia agradable. Lamentablemente, tampoco recibimos disculpas ante los inconvenientes presentados. "Parking was easy. Staff helped with extra towels and was accommodating as well as kind. I like the restaurants nearby too. I recommend ocean deck and their onion straws."

"Great price, especially for being on the beach. Great vibes with the pool, tiki bar, and added fun with karaoke. The building is old. I’m ok with budget water pressure and slow elevators, but the cleanliness wasn’t there. I pulled back all the sheets to find hairs on the fitted sheet. I pulled a standing lamp away from a wall to look for a socket and the dust behind it was crazy, they clearly don’t move things around when cleaning. All that said, it’s Daytona beach. It’s a great location and clean ENOUGH for a mid priced hotel with friendly staff and amenities. "
