"Clean room, comfortable bed, good parking, friendly staff "

"This was a lovely hotel and we had a great stay. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and also a welcome gift which was very well received. The room was great, a good size, clean and well maintained. The grounds were gorgeous. The Manor House is beautiful. The golf course was good and well maintained. The food was good, we had a nice breakfast and paid for lunch in the bar. The hotel has multiple games including table tennis, table football, pool and arcade games, space invaders,...

"A few more coffee, tea and sugar sachets would be nice and perhaps a note to say where they can be found (it took me a while to discover that there was a drawer under the kettle stand)."

"Just home from the most amazing five days here. The hotel is spotless and the staff all smiles,. My grandkids loved the warm swimming pool, the outdoor gym and the playground. The grounds are wonderful kept, full of mature trees, a war memorial and a pretty fountain. And that's before you get to the front of the hotel. The breakfasts blew us way, and our one evening meal was delicious. "

"Check in staff very helpful. Bathroom not as clean as it should be for a property like this, shower head covered in brown gunk, dirt under rim of toilet and glasses covered in dust. The shower nearly flooded as soon as I turned it on. The kettle was bashed and going rusty. Overall fine for a night but if staying more than one day there is no where to hang towels to dry. The breakfast was sufficient but confusing as there was no one to explain or check me off a list!! "

"The room was small but fine for one night. The heating was not on and took a long time to heat the room once the temperature was set. The reason for the overall poor score is the staff. We had no shampoo in the dispenser, which my wife only realised when she was in the shower. I called reception, who were apologetic and said someone would be along shortly. Five minutes later a man turned up with a bottle of shower gel. I told that was not what was needed and he said he'd be back very soon....

"The room floors, the corridors and the overall property is in a really bad state. The photos on Expedia are completely misleading. We would not have booked had realistic photos of the property been used. I would not reccomend anyone staying at this hotel - especially families with children. The staff however were very friendly and helpful. "

"The room was cleaned altought the bathroom floor was having some lines of mould. The staff were ok. the houskeeper how attend us didn't know who to sort a baby cot and we have to call several times to fix it. the breakast varieaty was good mixed of english breakfast and pastries andd fruits and bread. one of the staff who was tidying the breakfast was't very polite,she was cleaning the only2 coffees machies before the close time, and I was unable to take my coffee as she was rude on her approach...

"The room was clean although it lacked still water only water available was sparking! The staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was fine. I didn’t use the bar."

"Breakfast was Luke warm / not much bread left for toast as I assumed that most items were consumed by an overnight coach tour party staying overnight with earlyish departure. One staff member on duty probably having to cover for restaurant In the room which was ok the only problem was when you empty the wash basin the waste water came up the bath plug hole"
