"We loved staying at Belmar and highly recommend the breakfast buffet. Even though our unit had a kitchen, it was nice to eat at the buffet and we had beautiful views of the beach in the distance. The Belmar is a beautiful resort with several outdoor pools that are not heated and a heated indoor pool and hot tub. We were there at beginning of April and were able to swim in the cold outdoor pools but we were the only ones who could tolerate the cold. We swam in the indoor pool also which was nice. And we used the hot tubs which were nice but not crazy hot. I would guess 90 degrees. The hot tub is indoors and for adults and kids 16 years and older. No younger kids allowed. Our kids were old enough so it worked out well for us because the hot tub wasn't busy.
Early April is a shoulder season so the resort was busy but the surrounding areas were quieter and the ocean was cold but people including my kids still swam in the ocean. There is a 5 minute walk down to the beach from the resort. The beach is a public beach with parking so others can drive there. I prefer it that way. And there were no chairs by the beach, not even ones you could rent. But maybe that's because it was not summer yet.
We loved Lagos and parking was relatively easy but might be busier in the summer. April is a great time for hiking and we did two of the cliffside hikes and loved them."
