"The rooms are beautiful and the property is extraordinary. Great food and helpful staff throughout the property. You will be lost on the property the first few days. We found we didn’t need to put our request list in for restaurants and walked in regardless but came at a slower time. Only thing I wasn’t a fan of is not being able to see menus before booking/going into the restaurants.. leading to being in a place we had two people out of three not having any food choices and we had to walk away. We will be returning and recommend it to anyone who it fits within their budget. "

"We recently stayed at Occidental at Xcaret Destination and overall had a really enjoyable experience. The property itself is absolutely stunning—one of the most lush, jungle-like resort settings you could ask for. The wildlife was incredible and truly sets this place apart. We had monkeys visiting our balcony daily, which was amazing to watch. If you enjoy nature and wildlife, this resort is hard to beat—but if that’s not your thing, this may not be the place for you. The pools were great, always clean and relaxing, and the entire resort has a very natural, immersive feel. The staff across the board were kind, friendly, and very helpful. One employee, Moses, really stood out as exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay better. Our room was nice and comfortable, housekeeping did a fantastic job, and the minibar was always well stocked. The bars were also excellent—service was quick and always came with a smile. The only downside was the food, which was just okay overall. That said, the pizza restaurant was outstanding—honestly better than most pizza places in the U.S. Check-in could definitely use some improvement, as the process felt slower than it should be. All in all, this is a beautiful resort with a unique jungle atmosphere, great service, and unforgettable wildlife experiences."

"We did not sit by the pool. The buildings and lay out were somewhat odd and oversized. The room was great. We went north a ways to enjoy the beach, as there was too much weed on the beach and in the water to enjoy the beach by the resort. The other Westin location where we had the presentation was much nicer. Our concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable."
