"Only a short walk from the train station, Wheatlands Lodge Hotel was impressive to look at on first view from the street. Well kept garden at front with seating and tables on lawn. Welcomed on arrival, quick check in, offered a local paper guide to York and a complementary hot drink. The bedroom was comfortable and clean but did look a little dated. "Perfectly situated for a walk around York! Our room was clean, comfortable and bright. Breakfast was fresh with a wide selection of options available while other restaurant meals served well after a day of activity. Staff were friendly and happy to help with our enquiries. Would recommend this hotel."

"The ibis hotel in York was in a good location, within walking distance to everything. The hotel was very quiet and the rooms were nicely updated and well kept. The staff at the front desk were great and very helpful. I didn't us the breakfast so cannot comment on that. "

"The room was nice and clean, bed was firm but comfortable. We had an issue with our first room where we weren't able to open the windows, but the staff were very helpful by allowing us to go to another room. Only suggestion I'd have would be getting smart tvs, but obviously thats not a necessity and oberlal had a wondeful stay!"

"We stayed in York at the Indigo for two nights, the room was clean and spacious, staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Parking was easy to access and nearby. Location wise the hotel is very close to everything albeit in a town where everything is within an easy 10-15 minute walk max."
