La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Diego Mission Bay
My room was nice enough, and spotless. The lobby is quite shabby and makes a poor first impression, but the staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is very small. But the breakfast offers many items.

Pacific Terrace Hotel
Perfect location, spacious room, great view of the ocean and efficient, friendly staff. Close to lots of restaurants, pubs and bars. Needs a little TLC and updating: old furniture and very old carpets. Gym is very much sub-par, hidden in the basement where the parking garage is. Disappointing.
