Staverton Park Hotel & Golf Club

"Stayed for one night to attend a wedding celebration nearby. Room was minimal fitted with tired looking furniture. We found what looked like pubic hair on bath side by the taps/shower head. Room situated directly under toilet, so distrubed all afternoon whilst resting before evening with the sound of banging cubicle doors and the hand airdryer. Although was quiet overnight. Wasnt impressed with breakfast poor quality sausage and rubbery fried eggs with pieces of shell. Overall didnt meet our expectations, being local to the area believed it to be a higher standard then the reality. Never used the facilities so cant comment on those."

"I had stayed at this hotel before. This time the beginning off the stay wasnt what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. I asked to move to another room as the one that was given to me had an air conditioning issue. It seemed to me that the staff were unwilling to help adventually I was moved to a better room. Its just unfortunate that the issue i had happened. The breakfast was nice."

"The hotel in general was very good. Just personally, we had a few issues Our main issue is that the hotel. It's so big with long hallways and lots of steps, considering we have a child in a Pram and lots of luggage it was so exhausting to carry everything from the car park to walk across to the hotel. And then find your room. Its hell of a long walk with steps. When we arrived, they gave us a room on the top floor with loads of steps, and the windows barely opened. So we complained and changed the room. But the problem were, the lifts wasn't working? So we had to carry the baby. The luggage and the Pram up-and-down the stairs. It was so exhausting and very, very far to walk to the car park when we were leaving I would say it's not toddler friendly, so any parents with buggies not recommended The stuff are very helpful and friendly. Everything was okay. The rooms was clean The pool was very nice, considering they close early which we wasn't impressed with it The food menu on the bar was limited I hope it helps some parents"
