"Great value deal. Close to the centre of the city. Easy access to public transportation. Large room with windows. Not very clean but it is acceptable. Seperated toilet and shower. Nice and helpful staff. But please be aware to bring yourself a kettle and a cup with you. The room does not offer any of these."

"Booked a twin room, it actually had 3 single beds and a large bathroom. Breakfast was included and there was a good choice of food available. Good choice of food in the evening. Only downside was the lifts and stairs. Reception was on level 1 but you had to get the lift to level 2 and go down a short flight of stairs due to the layout of the building. It was the same with all rooms, you either had to go up or down the stairs from the lift, which does make it unsuitable for anyone with severe mobility problems, such as in a wheelchair or mobility scooter, and awkward if you have a heavy case, which I did, or use a walking aid, as I do, but this was a last minute booking due to a late hotel cancellation. Overall a really good hotel with very friendly, helpful staff."

"Firstly, I would say all the staff were excellent, polite, friendly and professional. In our room the complimentary biscuits had a use by date of 31/03/26. They were nearly 3 weeks out of date. There is a water bottle in the room to promote sustainability and not keep throwing bottles in landfill….great. However ours had been washed, not dried and the lid screwed on. The smell of stale rancid water was overpowering. Reception sorted both issues but I would suggest the room hadn’t been used for several weeks and not been checked prior to our stay. Very poor!! We had dinner at the Cast Iron restaurant which was excellent. Our server Izzy who was ever smiling, efficient and attentive. Well done to her. The front of house lady was also very attentive and professional. The breakfast too was excellent with a fantastic choice and great quality. Internet throughout the hotel wasn’t great. Connecting to hotel WiFi was poor and and not an easy process and my own 5G was patchy. Thankfully we weren’t there on business. Overall…mediocre, other than the staff who were excellent."

"The room I stayed in was absolutely filthy. Previous guests had clearly been smoking in the room, as the smell of smoke was really strong. We were unable to open the window as it was so high up. The window sill had been used as an ashtray and there were burn marks and ash still visible. The blind couldn't be opened, it was just permanently closed. Assuming in an attempt to hide the window sill. There were holes in either side of the bathroom door, where it had clearly been punched by previous guests. The tap in the sink wasn't fixed properly, and when turned on, the water ran brown! And also there was no hot water. And the TV had clearly been ripped off of the wall at some point, and some attempt was made to fill the hole, but the TV was left leaving on the table with the wall bracket still attached. The carpet was supposed to be yellow and blue geometric style pattern, but it was black. Upon checking in, the staff made no attempt to tell me anything, about how to turn on the hot water, they pointed at a piece of paper with the door code and WiFi password, and that was it. The main door wasn't secure as it was left open several times. And on one occasion through the night someone tried to gain access to our room. Having to listen to people arguing and banging on the front door until the early hours seemed fitting! I was told to have a nice day when checking out though! Thank goodness it was only 1 night! have taken photos for evidence!"

"Me and my friend stayed here for the Comicon at BEC Arena. The hotel was 15 minutes away, which cost about £16 in an Uber. There was parking on the street, and we had no issues finding the address. The landlord is incredibly kind, and super helpful. The landlord truly helped make our stay enjoyable. As well as Adam, the front of house staff. Though me and my friend turned up dressed up as Chucky the Doll, the staff (and the locals) were incredibly friendly and helped us make memories which will last me and my friend a life time. For the pricing, we could not complain at all. Thank you so much for having us, hopefully we will see you again at the next comicon! :) :) :)"

"Don’t stop here. I booked the room for the Man Chester. The room was very expensive for the quality accommodation provided. The room was dirty including the walls, carpet and bathroom. The bed only had 1 pillow and when I asked if I could have another, the receptionist said they don’t have any extra bed pillows. The worse part was a staff member knocked on the door at 10:30pm demanding to speak to us. He stated payment was not taken through Expedia so I had to pay there and then to stay in the room. Overall the hygiene throughout the hotel was poor and they should be paying guests to stay rather than charging them."
