"I originally booked my stay at the Rising Sun Inn because I was in the area to see Van Morrison. What I didn't expect was how much I'd enjoy everything else the hotel has to offer. "Room was small and in poor condition, paint peeling off the walls, half a toilet roll left, room was not serviced on our 2nd night so no replacement coffee etc or clean towels. Breakfast was disappointing, fruit bowl was kiwi or apple, no gluten free options on display, no spoons for coffee, 1 plate available, messy sides and generally looked shabby, weekend staff were oblivious to the need to replenish. Had to walk to pub to get anything needed, we had to ask for another loo roll! Light...

"Was not provided with an access code. When I managed to contact the property manager they claimed no personal information was forwarded to them, ie; phone number or email from Expedia. I had to enlist the help of a nearby business to contact them 3 hours after the check in time. If Expedia doesn’t forward details why would you continue to use them as booking agents. Property was close enough to train station and quite location, front door was often not secured from the street "

"I loved the Village feel, proper little pub with loads of character. Staff were were friendly from the time I booked in. Breakfast was amazing and tasty. My room was cosy very quiet had the best night sleep in a long time bed very comfy."

"On arrival there was road works outside the hotel which we were unaware of. I had messaged to ask where to park but got no answer. The parking is payable across the road and behind some houses. The hotel building is very old and the bar area is quite nice. The two young lads on the bar were very nice and friendly. The room we had was in need of decoration and updating, not in good shape. We had drinking facilities provided but I’d advise take your own as the ones given were to certain tastes....
