"Room was fine and beds were comfy"

"We stayed at Woodhall hotel and spa for 4 nights in the lodges. There was not much natural light entering the room and noise can be heard from the adjoining room The building could do with some refurbishment The views and gardens are beautiful The staff were really excellent and nothing was too much trouble The food was equally good with some fabulous combinations and flavours and, they have an interesting wine list, if slightly on the pricey side. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you"

"I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. "

"Lovely hotel. Immaculately clean and decorated. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed and good bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and of a good standard. Ample parking and well located. Efficient and friendly staff. Highly recommend this property."

"We only had a short stay there but the hotel and rooms are spotless, staff friendly and helpful, excellent food and well stocked bar. Ample parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to go back again. Thanks guys and gals 👍"

"Room was OK but bathroom a little cramped at sink, plus shower difficult to sort out so the water was not red hot. Nice enough hotel breakfast freshly cooked and good."

"Personal choice but didn't like the evening menu choices and breakfast was good if poached eggs were cooked better. Mine still had the clear egg slime on them. Staff were brilliant even down to the housekeeping. Room we had was really lovely, modern and a good size. Lots of space in bathroom and a great shower. Free parking was a real bonus. Really enjoyed our weeks stay at golden fleece hotel"

"On arrival could have done with better signage as to where to park as we ended up parking at Forbidden Corner. Also not easy to find Reception and when we did find there was no-one there for 10 mins. Room nice, dressing gown and slippers nice touch. Had evening meal in the bar which was ok and staff were attentive. Meals on the Sunday finished at 5 and bar closed which was inconvenient. We were informed no staff on site again until Wed. We couldn’t boil kettle Mon morning as electric went off...

"Great stay at hotel as it a good base for sightseeing Harrogate and other places, short walk into Harrogate and buses run very frequently. Hotel windows could do with nets or blinds and the wind whistled all one night through the window vent. My mattress sagged a bit in the middle and had two lights not working on arrival. On the whole we were happy with our stay and would probably go back."

"There was nothing unique about this hotel, but it was clean and the staff were friendly. I would warn people with disabilities about access issues at the front of the property, there are several stairs to climb and no ramp. To be fair, if you can arrive/enter at the back entrance, it's mainly on the flat, so I'd recommend this as the best option. There are two lifts in the hotel to help you reach your room, although you may have to wait a while as both can be busy, indeed one of the lifts is...

"stayed in room 1 and i personally felt the room to be little dated. Bathroom also the same Our bed was 2 singles just pushed together. But i must say the room was very clean thoughout The spar the next day was also very good"
