"overall- we would stay here again…. but… found the prices at the hotel extremely overpriced for what level of food was provided. room service breakfast was awful- lattes could not be drank , fruit bowl was disgusting with fruit what was not ripe. breakfast for two was $120. room was nice - but there was “stuff” stuck to the ceiling over the bed- we told housekeeping staff but it did not get cleaned . Iker- valet- 10/10 love him. he really made our stay. front desk gentleman was blah and not very personable. Five sails was lovely- great food and service ( what you expect for fine dining !) would stay again- would not eat at the property. make sure to get harbour view ! "

"It was a great room for our short stay. The staff were very great, helpful and knowledgable abput the area. Lots of good restaurants, shopping in walking distance. For it being in the heart of downtown it was safe enough to walk to rhe stores, shopping and coffee shops close by. "

Perfect hotel stay when here for work. The staff is the highlight, the property is dated but well cared for. "

"Excellent staff. Worked very hard to find us another room when there was a problem with the first, noisy room heater. The room they found for us was spacious and very quiet. We had difficulty getting Netflix on the television and they quickly came to our room to help us with that. When I asked about an exercise room, they gave me a pass to a very well-appointed gym just around the corner. Very good location. Several transit lines nearby which provided easy access to just about everything of interest in Vancouver. On the negative side: some rooms seem to be still under renovation. Our first room not only had a noisy heater but also water leaked from the top of the tap. We had to wrap a towel around it. Also, although we felt perfectly safe on Granville street, many of the businesses have closed, a rather dismal atmosphere. Finally the bar/restaurant attached to the hotel served a very poor breakfast. Fortunately lots of other places nearby which did a much better job of cooking. "
