"staff at the front desk were excellent although we were assigned a room where the air conditioning did not work but they sent a mechanic to the room right away. When it was found the system would not work, they arranged to move us to another room but it had to be after we got back from a wedding at 11pm."

"This is a truly lovely property. The grounds are exquisite and include a 75' lap pool and lovely patio and area for artist retreats. Nice robes, comfy linens, a fabulous shower. Fireplace that throws a good amount of heat and easy to use air conditioning. Good instruction book. Some small details were overlooked--a nice coffee nook to make tea or coffee but no water available to use or drink."

He was helpful in every way, from restaurant suggestions to taking our photos after an evening out. "Okay for a one night stay in order to be near family we were visiting. Room smelled musty, bathroom was good sized and seemed clean but room itself felt a bit shabby. Front desk staff member when we checked in was polite enough but not friendly and seemed like she didn’t want to be there."

"Staff is great. Very kind and willing to help. This is a solid stay if you’re looking for the basics done very well. If you’re looking for luxury of function… you might pass. Perfect for people traveling with a dog or two. There is a large field adjacent to the parking lot which makes potty time very convenient. "The hotel is on the outskirts of downtown. It was a bit worn down. We chose it for the separate bedroom as we are traveling with a teenage child. I had to ask for a third set of towels as well as sheets and a pillow for the sofa bed. They did not provide blankets or anything and actually asked if I just wanted a top sheet for the sofa bed. The sofa bed was not comfortable. The air conditioner worked well and my daughter actually was too cold at night but too tired to turn the ac down. The shower...

"This was the second time I have stayed here, and I can say without a doubt this will be my first choice when I need to stay close to the Hartford area. I love how central the location is to everything I wanted to go and explore!"
