"The front desk lady was amazing when we checked in. She was super sweet and worked professionally. We were upgraded to a balcony room, the view is of the city and just buildings but I was thankful. The room had a weird smell at first, like the carpet may need a cleaning but after a day, I think we got use to it. The room we had had plenty of space to lay out our suitcases and unpack. You do have to pay for parking and their pool was under construction. Staff was kind and worked hard. Breakfast...

"Overall my stay at Super 8 was pleasant. The staff was accommodating, and friendly. The room was fairly clean w a nice updated shower. My king room also came w a fridge and micro which was a welcome surprise. I always check the bed and the mattress corners, and both the mattress and box spring had clean protective covers on them. "Love this cute little motel. I’ve stayed here 6 or 7 different times while my son was a student at SDSU. The Lamplighter Inn is consistently immaculate- honestly, the grounds and buildings are so well-maintained. The breakfast is basic but good, the laundry facilities, water dispenser,& vending machines are available 24/7 in a secure room next to the lovely, shaded pool area. Parking is plentiful and free. There are several good restaurants within easy walking distance "
