"The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good and filling. With tasty bread sausages and bacon. The staff were very helpful. I had to ask for help to switch the shower off as it seemed to get stuck. Unfortunately I was not able to use the pool and sauna as closed for maintenance. That had been what had attracted me to the property in the first place! Great location and easy walk to Gold Hill."

"So, having explained an irritating medical condition I had and asked if it would be okay to use the charging bay without charging, the front counter assistant said it would be fine. I have now received a fine for £100 for using it. The breakfast was at best okay. but I certainly would not pay for it a 2nd time. It’s centrally based and advertised parking, while also taking away 4 of the parking spaces for charging, which are frequently not in use."

"Our room was clean and comfortable. Even though the Hotel was a bit dated, it was clearly an elegant property in its day.
However, there was no central heating working in the room; no working television; no bar access during the stay; and £15 for overnight parking would be unacceptable for many."

"I couldn't have had a nicer time at the Huntsman. I was staying outside in one of the 'cottage' type rooms. It was spotless, beautiful, and warm. The bathroom was immaculate and the bed was so comfortable! The location was a great base to go off on my hikes during the day, and I liked that there was room outside the rooms for muddy boots! The staff were friendly, warm, and helpful at every turn. I was travelling solo and made to feel very welcome dining alone in the evening, and the morning...
