"Beautiful architecture and interior. Beds were comfortable enough. Bathroom was on the small side and they could use some WD40 on some of the hinges since the doors are so heavy. I would also recommend house keeping check under beds occasionally, looked to be dust from 1909 under both beds in the room."

"The overall condition of the building was very poor. The first thing you notice after walking in the building is the musty odor. Everything appears to be dusty and abandoned. Our room was dirty. Lots of hair and random debris on the bathroom floor. There was a water puddle in front of the fridge from a water leak coming from the refrigerator. Most of the electrical outlets did not work. The shower would not hold temperature. It would fluctuate from freezing cold to burning hot without touching...

"Third time staying here. It's a hidden gem in downtown San Antonio. Staff is amazing. Rooms are always clean and tidy. Definitely my new favorite spot to stay in San Antonio. "

"The location is the best part of this property and the only reason to stay here for the price. The staff is very friendly but for what they charge, there are much nicer options not too far away. The rooms we were in were in desperate need of an upgrade, as well as the plumbing. "

"While not on the river walk it is just a block away and there is plenty of urban shopping and plenty of restaurants and nightlife withing a couple of blocks. Valet parking is 51.22 with tax per. Nice little kitchen in my room. Water pressure is excellent in the shower, walk in, with glass door. Bed and pillows were great. Carpet, as usual, is not clean. I would stay here again. Only 1 elevator working."
