"On the whole it was a very enjoyable birthday weekend for myself and my wife. One small comment to make is on the Saturday night we opted for the buffet as opposed to the à la carte. The choice and quality weren’t the best but ok, only then to find out when the time came to pay that the costs were the same for the buffet as they were for the à la carte! Bit naughty really. "

"Very steep stairs to climb the room was very stale had to open all the windows and let all the flys in the bathroom door kept sticking so it was best to leve it open the breakfast l can't moment on as I wated for 15 minutes for someone to take my order I got board I went somewhere else and had my breakfast when I got back anhour and a quarter later after having breakfast and a walk around the town the three people that sat down after me were still in there having their breakfast l was so...

"We stayed for a couple of nights, having breakfast & dinner twice. After a rather brusque check-in with a middle aged Asian gentleman (the owner?), we made our way to Room 10, a king sized room with an additional bed in a side room. As we had our Jack Russell with us, this may be a pet-friendly room. The bedroom was beautifully clean, and the beds comfortable. I think the bathroom had not long been fitted, and had a fabulous shower along with all the complimentary soaps/showergels/shampoos...

"Room could have done with an easy chair but was good otherwise. Hotel seems to pick its staff for their friendliness and helpfulness. Not a bad one amongst them. Plenty of choice at breakfast though evening meals were limited as awaiting new cooling facilities. Plenty of parking at front and back of hotel. Hotel location ideal for getting into Gloucester. Very pleased overall and would definitely use again."

"Very Happy with the room and staff. Breakfast was very chaotic. The staff were great but could not deal with the amount of people. Bread came out frozen and despite being told the fruit would come out it never did Not the fault of the staff it’s just cutbacks which you increasingly see across all hotel chains. "

"The hotel itself was clean, rooms and toilet room were a good size. Would have been more convenient if the rooms had little fridges in them. Bar and lounge area and the garden were nice areas to sit in. More ice at the bar would have been nicer as well. "
