"Located in centre of town there was a lot of noise from people going to and from pubs/clubs, also a lot of boy racers in there cars driving around and around constantly past our room window, we did stay on a Saturday night so probably busier than other nights, but had to have window open due to being hot and no air conditioning, and even with window closed still quite noisy. "An excellent stopover on a long journey north! It indeed has the air of a conference centre, and obviously was very quiet as there was no conference on, and that suited us. Our single bedrooms were small, but adequately equipped with a comfortable chair, and tea-making facilities, and nice en-suite. The rooms were very quiet, and had very comfortable beds. "Room clean, staff brilliant, breakfast ok, parking great."

"The room was clean but the bed was hard and you needed binoculars to see the TV. We stayed in Kent hall and it seemed like an old office block that has been turned into bedrooms. Breakfast wasn't that great sausages and bacon were overcooked and dry. The parking was not that great either."

"Clean room with plenty of hot water in the shower and a comfortable bed. But the outstanding feature was the staff not just helpful but friendly and as someone travelling, on this occasion, on my own they were invaluable. Yes, the property did look a little bit rundown and like it could’ve done with a lick of paint in places but that did nothing to detract from my stay. For r a budget friendly break in a long journey I could not ask for anything else."

"Impressive in arrival this countryside hotel and conference centre at first glance appeals. There is also ample parking. Many hotels allow early check in if one arrives ahead of check in time. Moat House staff were less accommodating and seemed to have a hard and fast rule. However, when we sat in the lobby with our suitcases and backpacks half an hour ahead of check in time, they quickly and pleasantly attended to us. "Last minute hotel room. No kitchen was frustrating so had to find a takeaway close by. Close to my destination of Telford International Centre. Key card worked when it wanted to and also same issue with the shower"

"Overall room was clean if a little tired, needing refurbishment. This was reflected in the fixtures and fittings throughout the hotel. I had previously stayed at the hotel approx 12 months (Ramada) before and it was 'tired' then, so in need of capital expenditure."
