I had a very late arrival (1am) from a business meeting in London, I got lost in the lanes and there was emergency road works, I called the hotel tired, cranky and lost, Richard was so kind, patient, calm, what an absolutely outstanding example of looking after your customers, when I arrived he extended that excellence, by upgrading me so I could stay in the main house and personally...

"Beautiful property. A bit of a rabbit warren but delightful to see the original features and feel the age of the building. Comfortable room and excellent bathroom facilities. Breakfast had most of what you would expect, I would like more fresh salad available. We especially enjoyed the walking route provided by the hotel, really lovely to get out and about in the grounds. "The hotel is definetely a bit shabby and down-at-heel, but it is clean and the staff friendly. Although it was a shared bathroom this was not a problem. The shower was surprisingly strong and as hot as i needed. The room was small but the matress on the bed was very comfortable. If you're happy with cheap but clean then I'd recommend it. I'd stay again"

"My second time staying at Holiday Inn Express. My room 211 felt smaller than my first room 108. A comfortable bed so I got a good sleep. The small table to sit down at was a little dirty as was the top of the shower head. Not a major problem but if I do stay next time, I would prefer to stay on the first floor"
