"My room/suite was very clean. I had everything in my kitchen that I needed . My room was exactly like my home. I had all of the necessities in the kitchen to prepare our lunch and dinner, pots & pans, real dinner plates, cooking utensils, dish towels, pot holders and dish liquid, and more. This was unique for me. It was definitely home away from home. The staff was very nice and friendly. Good hospitality is hard to find now days. "We had our teenagers with us and 2 rooms. Housekeeping barged in on us, knocking and opening our room at 8:30 am after being out late at a concert, checkout is at noon and they woke us up! Bathroom was very dirty, dark hair everywhere and toilet was gross. Bathroom exhaust fan doesn’t work. We should have inspected better upon arrival but were pressed for time getting to our concert and only dropped out stuff off and went right to the venue. "I have stayed here several times because of its conveniently located near the people I am visiting. But overtime it seems like the room are not being maintained very well as I would like. In the bathrooms we have dealt with sagging curtain rods, torn shower curtains, and loose shower handles that will not stay in place. "June 2026 - they are in the midst of a big remodel, so take that into account. Unfortunately, they are missing some of the easy stuff that should be done right away, like putting up signs of which way to go to find your room. The room was fine - nice and clean and good sized. But there was no dresser for storing our clothes during a 4-day stay. The kitchenette was great, with a decent sized fridge that could hold our pizza box. "We had a wonderful stay at Wayside Inn. Our host, Joe, was very helpful and was a great chef! Our breakfasts were very good and got us ready for the day ahead. Parking was not a problem and the surrounding yard was shady and pleasant. The giant oak in the front is reported to be 200 or more years old. Our room and bath were well maintained. We would definitely stay there again. The Inn also has a great history dating back to the late 18th Century. It is said that George Washington stayed there...
