"A lovely apartment right in the centre of Bowness-On-Windermere. The accommodation was spotless, cleaning spray, washing up liquid and cloths were provided. The bed was lovely and comfortable. People have mentioned the stairs up to the apartment. They caused us no problem but if people have mobility problems I can understand they might be a problem. If we return to the area we would stay here again. I am glad I didn’t book somewhere in Windermere, this was five minute walk to the lake. "

"The lodge was nice but could have been better. The listing advertised a hot tub but there wasn’t one. There were no games or leaflets to local attractions, the dishwasher didn’t work properly and, though not expected, it would have been nice to have a welcome pack with some milk, tea bags, biscuits - that sort of thing. Overall, we had a nice stay and the lodge is comfortable with lots of room and in a beautiful location but does need a little TLC in places."

"We had 2 very good nights sleep. The room was clean and comfortable. Funny was the mirror in the bathroom was fitted well high up, you can not see yourself if you are about 5 ft tall. The shower screen was a bit narrow for the long shower tray, the floor got very wet when having shower."

"Me and my partner stayed at the lakes spa hotel for my 21st birthday we entered the hotel reception to a warm welcome by all staff, the staff can’t no enough for you from the moment you drive into the hotel (from start to finish) the room was beautiful we have a complimentary room upgrade to a Windermere lake view with a floor to ceiling widow that allows you to watch the sun set over the beautiful lake with the most beautiful view from the very spacious balcony with a massive 2 person hot tub. On the evening we went down to the cocktail bar to enjoy our tea where I had a fillet steak with chips mushrooms and tomatoes with Diane sauce and my partner had a sirloin steak with garlic butter and I can say it was the nicest most flavourful food I have ever had and finished our night with some champagne in the hot tub. In the morning we had to go to the spa, the spa was very luxury and tranquil and a very nice space to quiet the mind we then got ready and checked out with a very warm and friendly goodbye. So I would 100% highly recommend coming and having a stay at the lakes spa hotel and I would definitely be returning (I will add photos of our stay and food) (Room decorations where done by my partner)"

"This hotel, as you would expect, is immaculate. Special notice must be given to the grounds keeping staff. I have never stayed at a property with such well-manicured flowers and fauna. It really added to the ambiance of the stay. Breakfast is wonderful, do take advantage of it. As for the dining, the menu was too over the top for us as a general statement. We find Michelin star or noted restaurants to be too adventurous for us, generally but we managed well enough. This is a very peaceful and supremely quiet house in the country."
