"This establishment was by far one of the nicest places I have ever stayed... It felt more like renting a house than being at a hotel... Mostly because we were the only people there due to bad weather. The property is very remote, with a 15 to 30 minute drive to go to Walmart or dinner. (A lot of places close at 9:00 p.m., so get there early.) The property was very quiet in the morning, which allowed for spending time outside and enjoying nature... Especially from the enclosed deck. "The room had mold on the walls and smelled moldy. Other guests also complained of the musty smell. Staff was very friendly. We paid $300 a night for a room and this should have been more of $100 night room due to quality."

"Room was clean with the exception of the hairs that were in the beds when we arrived. The TV’s did not work and had to get service for this and to fix the broken door so it would close. Also had to have them reset both beds and then the fire alarms went off multiple times anyone showered or the balcony door was open too long. When we called, they did take us seriously and attempted to correct these things but was inconvenienced with so much staff in and out. We had 5 people in the room at one...

"On the one hand, I feel bad, as this property is maintained by what seems to be a small family of perhaps three people. On the other hand, the quality of the property is seriously questionable. The property is older and has been poorly maintained. The television in the room didn't work. The air conditioner leaked all over the floor overnight with condensation. When checking out, I tried to locate a member of staff to alert them to the AC issue, but no one was around, even when I rang the bell...

"We arrived at 12pm and asked if we could leave our vehicle while my family and I went to the beach, the guy said he would call when the room was ready but he never did. We were at the beach until 4:30 and wanted to check in but the guy left and said he won’t be back till 5pm. A lot of other upset guest wanting to check in and couldn’t. We were tired and needed to shower. The blow dryer in the room didn’t work and I kept smelling electrical burn."

"We arrived at the hotel and was told it was canceled. We didn't receive an email or any notification of the cancelation. We had nowhere else to go. They scrambled to find us a room but the only room available didn't have AC. It's the middle of summer in Texas. They did give us a discount on the room with no AC but it smelled like mold & stuff & extremely hot."

"Staff was great!! I know the hotel had recently been remodeled. They still need to work out the problems. Refrigerator did not work. Maintenance brought a new one and that one did not work either. Air conditioning start to smoke in the middle of the night. Front elevator worked half of the time. Once again, the staff was great and were dealing with a lot."
