"Great modern and very clean rooms in NH Venezia Santa Lucia. Excellent location right next to the train station, and having an elevator was a huge plus with luggage. I booked this hotel last minute after arriving in Venice a day earlier than planned, and honestly wish I had stayed longer. The breakfast buffet was definitely worth paying for, the 5th floor views were beautiful, and I really appreciated the free luggage storage after checkout. Staff were kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the stay. The room also had AC, although I personally didn’t need to use it during my stay. The only small improvement I’d suggest would be slightly stronger water pressure in the showers, but overall everything was fantastic and the room extras were a lovely touch. "

"I booked a room at the Adua Hotel, however upon arrival after numerous phone calls, we were finally escorted to the neighboring building along with another couple who arrived at the same time. That building was not well maintained nor attached to the main hotel. The water from the sink in the room drained onto the floor!!!! (There was a piece of tape on the wall that said it was broken.) The room was hot but the attendant did not offer to turn on the AC. We opened the door to the courtyard and were bombarded by mosquitoes. There was no internet service. There was no soap at the sinks and I opened the hall cabinet to get toilet paper.We never saw the Adua Hotel but these furnishings should not be included with their 7.2 rating."

"Room was cool, very clean and for me a really pleasant surprise. Wasn’t sure how I would feel because of outward appearances of buildings due to weather conditions. But that’s Venice in its authenticity."

"The staff was very friendly and responded immediately to requests such as turning the air conditioning on and helping with luggage. The breakfast buffet was ample and the room that we stayed in was very nice. The location was superb. The only downside is that there is no elevator but so long as you're ok going up and down stairs, then you will be OK. And as i said, the staff helped take our larger pieces of luggage up and downstairs. Also, it is a 2 minute walk to the train station and vaporetti and a 5 min walk to a bus that takes you to or from the airport"

"The hotel is very close to the train station and the terminal for the ATVO/ACTV airport bus, as well as many restaurants and shops. The room was clean and a good size for the 3 adults in our family. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and the employees there were very helpful. There was a smell in the bathroom, which I assume would have been from the very old sewer system, but I don’t think could have been resolved by the staff. We simply kept the bathroom door closed. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. "

"Location was the only real good thing. Beds were horribly uncomfortable, pillows were like sleeping on a book, the room was very dark and made you not want to go back except to sleep. AC definitely not. Breakfast was continental and ‘ok’. "
