"Lovely hotel, previously stayed when it was Lacanda san Barnaba and the upgrade is really great, whilst still keeping the originsl ceiling frescos and other features. Great new updsted bathrooms. Great communal areas as well as fab breakfast. Only slight niggle was not much hanging space and no drawers but easily manageable. Overall a great stay"

"Ugh got the 1st floor - traveling solo I always try to avoid for safety. But they were full - claimed I was upgraded to bigger room - I would have rather kept my single small one up higher. But worse - the first floor is a dark like a basement. The windows are darkly frosted so no view no light no idea weather outside let alone natural light. may as well not had any windows. Horrid would never go back."

"The hotel is a former Palazzo. Everything about it is impeccable. The staff knows you by name. The food is excellent. The location is perfect, far enough away from the crowds but close enough that everything is within walking distance would definitely stay there again when I go back to (Venice)"

"Easy journey to Marco Polo airport from the Carnival hotel on the Aliaguna water bus to Guglie a short walk from the hotel. Lots of good restaurants and aperitif places on the canal outside the hotel. Easy access to all the main sites from Tri Archi vaporetto stop outside the hotel. Much cheaper to get a two or three or more days, water bus pass for as many journeys that you want to take each day. Good safe local neighbourhood to wander about including evenings."

"This is a really great property in an amazing location. We had the Magnolia apartment and the living room and bedrooms are huge. The palazzo is beautifully restored and it is such a comfortable place. We were able to get a water taxi directly to and from so no dragging luggage around Venice. I highly recommend staying here. "

"Venice is one of those complicated cities to navigate so it's hard to optimize for the "best location". It was a bit of a long walk and lots of stairs from the train station and bus terminal. Even if you take a vaporetto it's a winding walk through the streets---only a taxi could get you conveniently to this hotel. But it's in a pleasant neighborhood that's pretty chill and about equidistant from most of the things you want to do. Gondola rides are right around the corner. It's about a 40...

"Fantastic location right on the canal by the rialto bridge! It was great being able to walk right out of the room into the heart of the city. Easy access to everything and boat transportation to get in and out for travel. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Great views from the rooftop bar!"

"Location was great - 12 minute walk to the train station. Their breakfast is a normal European breakfast - light. The room had AC without a locked temperature which was great because we could put it to as cold as we wanted. Issue: There was sooo many fruit flies in our room. I don’t know if that’s a Venice thing but we had to kill so many of them. They were in the building a little too. "Beautiful hotel. Hotel staff are excellent and so friendly. They were geat arranging transportation for us from and to the airport. Hotel location is excellent; ferry right next to hotel and restaurants and Ice Cream shops just a few minutes walk. Highly recommend this hotel, especially for first time visitors."
