"Great location, waking distance from the train station but in Venice there are steps everywhere and it is not a suitcase friendly city!!! The room had a beautiful view of the channel. Opening the windows to see the canal was a relaxing experience, specially in the morning when is only the neighbors walking the dogs and the streets are empty. There is a convenient restaurant in front with a romantic view for a dining in the quiet Canal. "The location is truly unbeatable, especially if you’re short on time in Venice before flying out. That said, our experience was disappointing given the price point. The AC in our room stopped working, and rather than addressing it that evening, the staff opted to ‘monitor’ it overnight. We had to push for a fan. Maintenance did fix it the next day, but it broke again before the evening was out. Not a hotel we’d return to."

"I really don't understand the positive reviews. The Alloggi Olimpia is "part of" the Hotel Olimpia but really not. There is no lift to room. Once you take the hotel olimpia elevator you have to go down weird back stairs and hallways that stench of trash. It was so bad I felt sick to my stomach walking to and from the room. "Great suite! Close to many restaurants, the canal, etc. We were up on the top floor and it was quite difficult to carry our luggage up/down three flights of stairs (this stay was at the end of a two week trip with teens). Other than that, it was very nice!"
