"The staff were very friendly and helpful. They accommodated us by making take away breakfast boxes because we had to leave early. Typical pub/inn with typical pub food. Under new management, so they were adjusting. The location was perfect, right in town and we got there early enough to get parking on site. "

"Had a lovely weekend stay here in November, the place is charming and has a lot of character. The room was large, clean , well furnished and there was everything you needed , I also loved the view and that you could look out and see the thatched roof . Check in was easy , all the staff we met over the weekend were very welcoming , friendly and helpful so it made you feel very relaxed. New management had just taken over when we stayed , I was really happy with stay here and would recommend it. "

"A simple and modest country village pub with very friendly owners who took great pains to welcome and look after me. Arriving late, they had kept a good supper for me. The bedroom was large, clean and nicely old fashioned. The old church nearby chimed through the night but did not wake me. As I left before breakfast, the landlords left me a sandwich and apple. In no way smart and modern but with a very warm and relaxing atmosphere. "

"The George is a lovely, old-fashioned kind of hotel in a small village. Check in was a little confused as we missed the sign that said reception but once we found it, it was easy. The room was spacious with a king sized bed, kettle, desk and chair. I was extremely impressed with the breakfast. Tea, coffee, juice, cereal and toast then a cooked choice from the menu. Staff were super friendly and helpful. A lovely stay and we would definitely return."

"Staff were great, the room was ok but could do with a bit of TLC. Decent size bath with shower. Coffee and tea making was provided and a 24 inch LG TV with freeview channels. Slept well."
