"All the staff were friendly and helpful, room and amenities were clean and updated. Breakfast was great. Today was Mother’s Day and one of the staff members working the breakfast gave a rose to the mom guests - such a thought and appreciated gesture! Would definitely stay here again."

"The room was clean but the bed was very firm. The bathtub wouldn’t drain after its first use but they did fix it the next day. The breakfast was incredible. The staff were cheerful and helpful. It was in easy walking distance of everything I wanted to do while in San Francisco. I did however only had a view of the commercial air handler and roof, nothing else! That was the most disappointing, anything aside from the mechanics of the building and roof would have been appreciated. "

"Didn’t love that the security guard letting people up to the rooftop implied that we wouldn’t have an issue getting a table when in fact the wait was 1.5 hours. "The location was ok not great! The towels were not soft. Our faucet in the bathroom were not functioning properly. It only had one temperature setting.
I expected a more modern hotel. It needs to be updated for sure!! We had a King room with a view and there wasnt any view since we only saw the corner of two streets!
I am not sure how this hotel had such high ratings. I would have expected it to be more modern!! Since the amenities were old not sure if it clean or not!!

"We only booked for a night because of our visit to UC Berkeley and it was an amazing stay! The rooms were very clean and organized. Staff were nice and they welcomed us with waters. The neighborhood is ok, but you’re right on the cusp of the tenderloin.
But, the hotel itself is nice, clean and the vibe is more international with the people staying there.
Very decent for the price and i would stay again but avoid a few streets up.
