"This was a lovely hotel, very handy for the underground."

"Stayed here for one night in a cocoon and overall it’s exceptional value for money. The location is unbeatable and check-in was quick and easy. I’d read reviews mentioning issues for Expedia bookings, but I didn’t run into any problems at all. My first room (2nd floor) was spotless, spacious, with a nice bathroom and a decent bed — but there was loud nightclub noise coming from below. I spoke to reception and they moved me straight away, which suggests they’re aware it can be an issue. The new room on the 7th floor was quieter, though slightly smaller. A few things to be aware of: rooms are very minimal — no hairdryer, iron, fridge, or even glasses. For the price, that’s fair enough, but worth knowing in advance. That said, the WiFi was fast and reliable and the air conditioning worked really well, which made a big difference. There is very limited privacy between the bathroom and the bedroom which wasn’t an issue as I was on my own, but something to bear in mind if travelling with someone else. There’s also a large basement cafeteria area with a coffee shop, which is handy. Bottom line: great budget option in a prime location — just ask to avoid the 2nd floor if you want a good night’s sleep."

"Courteous, friendly and efficient check-in. Complimentary room upgrade. Guestroom was in very good condition and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent. As many others have mentioned, its proximity to Victoria Station can’t be beat."

"Absolutely fantastic stay! The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. When we arrived, the receptionist kindly offered my partner and me a complimentary drink at the bar to celebrate our anniversary, which was a lovely touch. Throughout our stay, the doormen and lobby staff were consistently polite, always offering help and wishing us a great day. On the day of checkout, the gentleman at reception also extended our checkout time, which we really appreciated. I would highly recommend this hotel—everything was perfect from start to finish."
