"The property was great, but the Ocean Tower has a later check in and earlier check out time comparatively to the rest of the property. Additionally, we were charged $150 in additional resort fees for a single night stay (instead of the $50 that was quoted by Expedia to be paid on the property.)"

"First the staffs: I believed I have received 2 different type of service: Staffs from the online registration were super nice and helpful. Staffs at the front desk were super cold! At check out time, they even tried to charge me more for what I have already paid on the room. The room: Upon entering the room, we can smell an odor from the carpet. It could be because the weather was hot and humid, and the AC was not On."

"The room was clean and we could see the ocean while on the balcony. It is convenient to walk to many restaurants and shopping. Although can be noisy at night due to traffic. Beach is crowded while cruise ship in port. Staff is friendly and helpful. Our air conditioner stopped working on the last night, they sent maintenance to fix which took a few hours. Overall we enjoyed our stay."

"This is the best hotel that we have stayed at. The amenities, staff, rooms, the spa, the adult pool, the food, the beach…all 5 stars! Swam with manta rays and did the longest running luau that was well done. Have been coming here since the 80’s and it only keeps getting better. We love the Mauna Kea and the Big Island of Hawaii."
