"The pool and view are awesome. Sadly, this hotel clearly has slid into disrepair. There were at least 30 mosaic tiles loose on the shower floor--one cut my foot. The walls looked like a 12 year old did the painting--so much paint on the beautiful tiles, ceiling, door trim. Doing a nice job on the paint would have cost almost nothing, so sad! "the property is gorgeous and the rooms are comfortable and nice. Don't expect a tv in your room, or a refrigerator. It is more like a very nice bed and breakfast. the restaurant was very nice and moderately priced and breakfast, which is included, was also very good. It is about a 10 minute drive to the little main area of the Valle but not bad. The pool was nice enough, but small. The staff is very friendly and helpful."

"We stayed at Playa Caracol Resort for one week. While the beach and natural surroundings were beautiful, our overall experience was disappointing due to the location and transportation challenges.
