"We stayed here for one night and it was perfect for that. The ladies in the pub are super friendly and we enjoyed the big breakfast and evening dinner. "
"We stayed here due to a wedding at nearby Bruisyard. It was a lovely stay and I couldn’t fault it, a beautiful setting full of nature and a very well preserved property. Liz was very accommodating allowing us to drop our luggage and car off earlier than check in; we also came down to a very very nice breakfast with something for everyone. "

"What an excellent country pub. We have a lovely steak meal and used the garden to sit outside and have a drink before retiring to our room. The staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly.Breakfast was well cooked and very enjoyable.
Our room was lovely and clean but the toilet flush didn’t work as well as it should.
Overall we had lovely meals and a great stay made better by the welcoming friendly and attentive staff"

"First time using a dog friendly hotel, so was a little cautious about what to expect, however no need whatsoever. Great hotel, great location and great staff. Very friendly and made us very welcome."
"set in beautiful countryside. very quiet, room was very comfortable with a wonderful view, and we had a shared kitchen with another room, with microwave, fridge, in which we put some cold items for the next day.
hosts were wonderful, very helpful in recommending somewhere to eat that 1st night, the local pub was lovely and great food. and the breakfast that we had the following morning was exceptional, plenty of safe parking.

Help yourself to cereal, fruit juice and DIY toast. I ordered the vegan hot breakfast which was brought to me on a plate, everything was hot and cooked to my liking. Would have liked a different menu, the Sunday lunch was great, but more choices would be nice. Desserts were a challenge!
