"EVERYTHING WAS FINE FOR US"

"A very disappointing stay. We booked a deluxe sea view (with large bay window) double or twin room via Expedia. On arrival at the hotel we did not get the room we booked and paid for. According to Expedia’s description and photographs the room we were given was a STANDARD double room for SINGLE occupancy. As the hotel was fully booked we had to tolerate this very small room with four steps up to the bathroom and really not enough room for two people. The room in no way bore any resemblance to...

"What a wonderful find this hotel was. Lovely and clean and safe, which is essential for a solo lady traveller. An easy walk into the beautiful Sidmouth too. Thankyou for such an enjoyable stay."

"The cleaning staff set and maintain extremely high standards as do reception staff. I have increased the length of my stay at The Manor Hotel several times because of the cleanliness especially. It's location is ideal and my room has spectacular views."

"I’ve stayed at the Mason’s Arms twice now, and both times it’s been exceptional. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable and warm, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is fantastic. I’ll go out of my way to stay here in future."

"Arrived and allocated room and put all our luggage in room only to be treated by bathroom being flooded from above. This should have been checked prior to check in. We were allocated a new room but no compensation for the hassle caused after a long day of travel."

"The staff so helpful"

"Have stayed at Hall & Woodhouse properties previously and The Dolphin rates as highly as the the other accommodation. There is a small car park which was a bonus on the coast and the room had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. We had an evening meal and breakfast, good quality food and helpful staff."

"We had a really pleasant stay ahead of an early flight the following morning. Comfy bed, great staff and nice biscuits."
