"I was upgraded to a larger room on the ground floor which was lovely and the chap on reception was extremely helpful The only shame was no kitchen at the moment but there is a Sainsbury at the garage right opposite so easy to get some food and he supplied cutlery for me A lovely place to stay while travelling"

"I think the property could be managed better. There was no fridge in the room which was very inconvenient - I wanted to keep my drinks cold but couldn't. The bathroom amenities were very basic and no bath salts, soap by the bath area for example. The room balcony should be cleaned daily- it is full of pigeon poop. Otherwise, the property itself is lovely and historic, there's alot of potential to make this hotel a 5 star place, but you need a good management to be able to do this. The restaurant...

"Whenever I book using expedia I almost always get the room that nobody wants, the one next to the high traffic door, the elevator, or the ice machine area. It seems to be a pattern and I suspect it is because I use the expedia app to do so because it is always mentioned when I check in. The staff will almost always say " booked with expedia?" We have a ok time there. Ate at the hotel, service was slow, could see the restaurant manager having a bit of chat to one of the servers, it was...

"The air conditioning was rarely turned on and the room was hot and stuffy. No control of air colnd from the room unit. Order the vegetable soup for 6 pounds. Was watered down freeze dried 'cup-a-soup'. Bloody awful. Was refused a hot steak sandwich at 7.20pm and told by staff not available after 6pm as per the menu. Nowhere on the menu is this stated. (THEN ODERED THE SOUP INSTEAD) Constant noise of thumping feet and furnuture being dragged accross the floor up to 11pm at night from the floor...

"The only negative item to state was that the postcode via google did not bring us close to the property. I walked along the road for a few hundred metres, reading the various house signs before finding the property on a dark, unlit road. I just think some sort of indication should have been given as to the precise location. Apart from that, everything was 5 star."

"I wasn't aware of the availability of breakfast. The man who I checked in with at the front counter didn't mention anything about breakfast. The washroom is a bit cramped and it took me a bit to figure out the shower faucet. There were also a few tiny bugs crawling on the bathroom floor."
