"As a solo traveler, I highly recommend this hostel! The City Hosts were so kind, cheerful, & ready to help! You could tell they enjoy their job. :) The pods were wonderful! It felt like a good, private escape when I needed to rest after adventuring. The lights and Bluetooth speakers were a fun touch!! The bathrooms were ALWAYS clean. Only complaint was my door to my pod wouldn’t latch on its own… it visually looked like it did, but then I’d have to pull/push it all the way shut. Thankfully, the vibes were good from the other guests, but it did make me anxious to know someone might be able to just push open my door when I was away if I didn’t remember to pull it shut upon leaving. But— not that big of a deal for how good the quality was of everything else! Highly recommend and I would definitely stay again!! "

"Our recent stay at Þingholt by Center Hotels was absolutely fantastic — and honestly, you can’t beat the location, location, location! Situated right in the heart of Reykjavík, the hotel is perfectly placed for shopping, dining, and exploring the city’s top sights. If you’re joining guided tours, Bus Stop #6 is only a three-minute walk away, which made everything incredibly convenient. The staff were super friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, always happy to help. Our room was spotless and thoughtfully equipped with a minibar and small fridge, which was a nice touch after long days of sightseeing. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the hotel’s happy hour at the bar. There’s also a cozy spa and a small gym available for guests (exercise bikes and dumbbells). While the hotel doesn’t offer free parking, we found it very easy to park nearby. Free parking is available along the residential edges of the city center and at a free lot near the church, and with the Easy Park app, managing parking was simple. We had a car for the entire week and never had any issues. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Þingholt by Center Hotels to anyone visiting Reykjavík. Comfortable, friendly, and perfectly located — it made our trip even more memorable."

"Stayed at Fosshotel Baron for 7 nights, excellent location close to everything bus stops, attractions, shopping, ocean. Nice size room with mini fridge and comfortable beds. Very hot water which is nice for showering after long trips in the cold weather. Very nice breakfast, i would rate breakfast above average and much better selection then in other countries. Appreciated healthy options such as dry fruits, nuts, yogurts, fresh fruits. Good coffee. I had nice views of the ocean and mountains from my room. Very happy and recommend, will stay again. "
