"We rented two rooms from Black Pearl as we concluded our trip through Iceland. The apartments were great - even better than advertised. Plenty of space in the common areas and sufficient room in the bedrooms. Everything you need is provided, and the refrigerator is stocked with drinks and snacks for a fee. We didn't have anything, so I can't comment on price, but I assumed expensive because hotel mini-bars are usually expensive everywhere. The apartments were clean. We did not have breakfast, so...

"The room was lovely and we had a view from our window directly onto a ship that was being refurbished - it was so unique! We were very grateful there was free parking and the location was great: close to amenities and the promenade. The breakfast was a buffet with a lot of options. Really grateful for the vouchers we received each night we requested to not have our room cleaned -used towards breakfast one day -since food is so expensive in Iceland. I would say the only thing I didn’t like was...

"Extremely well located in the heart of the city. Main attractions close by at walking distance. Plenty of restaurant's bars nearby. Staff extremely friendly and always willing to help with a smile in their face."

"Located very close to city center, nice interior design. Our room was a two-room suite, however there were no doors between the rooms, so noise from one room was clearly heard in the other room. Also no AC, and the suite was all glass windows, it overheated badly"

"The location of the Apotek is wonderful but the room was not great. The room was lava hot until we realized the mini-fridge was the cause and unplugged it. After that the room temperature was fine. It was a quite small room which was challenging for us to work with given there were not easy places to put clothes so we had to work with our suitcases. Finally, the bathroom was in great condition and really clean and modern but the open shower got water all over the room which was less than ideal....

"Loved the location, the building was very clean inside and out. Lacking basic room amenities. No TV, radio, or anything anywhere in the building. Power outlets in weird locations. Wasn’t pleased that we couldn’t even enter the building until check in time, that definitely needs to be looked at for future customers with luggage. "

"Good value, clean warm room in the heart of Reykjavík. Check in was painless and we managed to get an early check in. It is not fancy but it does meet your needs. The big positive for this property is location, very near all the main areas for restaurants and bars but tucked out the way to be quiet. I would come back here if we come to Reykjavík again. "
